New Track Surface

The Club has managed to get a very good deal on more clay for the track. The Clay has been delivered and is currently sitting on the track waiting to be worked in over the next month. This was a pretty important step for the track and the new season as some areas were lacking in surface with some places needing to be built up/reshaping.

Gordon Street: The Rocky Track to the Speedway

We have been working with the Murrindindi Shire Council over the last year regarding getting approval for road upgrades on Gordon Street (that rocky track to the speedway) We are very happy to let you all know that the Murrindindi Shire Council have at their recent Council meeting approved a partnership with the Club and approving road upgrades. The specs of the upgrades will be to council road standards with the idea once this has been completed that Murrindindi Shire Council will then look at Gordon Street finally being recognised on the Council's road register.

Many Thanks to Geoff Day for gaining local support and liaising with local councillors and all the work he put into this for our Speedway.

Improvements, Improvements, Improvements - No rest for the wicked

While Covid has stopped us racing largely over the last two years the committee have continued to push forward and continued with improving the venue as hard as we could. The achievements and improvements the Club have made since 2018 and especially the last two years (whilst unable to race) are some of the largest projects the club has seen since the idea to pour the first concrete slab for a concrete wall way back in the day. With the catch fence rebuild, pit viewing area upgrades, turn 1 & 2 spectator viewing area upgrades, track resurfacing, water bore installation, now road upgrades, we can now add to our list - being awarded to host our first Australian Title in our 52-year history!! It has been a very busy time and a lot of work behind the scenes.

The current committee feel we have moved forward in the right direction, setting up the club for many many more successful years to come.
